It's late, put a few light-hearted tunes on and begin work, it's just another ordinary night. Cold temps have been a damper on MH morale, luckily a break in the clouds and a rise in the mercury is in our near future here. With the higher temps comes easier menouverability, and more focus. Municipal Heroes have big plans for the next few months. First in the matter, is that of my name. What's in a name? Well, that's a question for another time. You may know myself as what I have previously gone by, Socrates. After some discussion, we have decided that the name needs to change, this aer RIn heard the name being discussed concerning the ancient greek philosopher, not to say that our very own MH Socrates was not such. However, we all agreed that the name needed to be more unique. It is with great joy, that I would now like to dub myself into the UE World as Gahein. MH also plans to pay for a Domain. Soon, you will find us on municipalheroes.com. Until that time comes there is still much work that we hae to do. I have already begun on creating the new, and much swankier version of the site. Our image and mission statement is also usbject to change. It is in our understanding that this site has held very little purpose but to show what we have done. We want to change that. As a group of artists, all Municipal Heroes members will truly look towards each Venture as an opportunity to practice their artform, though we do not, and will not participate in or support Vandalism. Our three main art-forms will be Photography, Film, and Writing. More information, our very own Artist Statement, and Art will be availble through-out the next month. Lastly, it has been known for some time to the main Members of MH that in just three or four months, we will all be spreading to different parts of the Country. Though Rin and myself (now-named Gahein) will stay in the Minneapolis-St.Paul area, Thalia may be leaving for the east coast, and Averna could either be headed towards Northern Michigan, Gary Indiana, or somwhere else. Despite this impending seperation, we all remain strongly devoted to Urban Exploration, and will continue our efforts no matter where we travel. I will work to make this site easy for them to still access, so that they may still share their ventures from afar. Officially, we have now explored ten sites. The stories for Hamm's Brewery and the Tailraces should be up sometime soon. -Gahein Out Tuesday, April 1 2008, 9:45pm This is not a joke you sillys, but we did do the tail races to the best of our ability. Whether or not there is still more to explore is up to debate. Rin says there is. All part of our continuing search for the roof of Gold Metal Flour. Today we finally got to the very top of Purina! Rin, Averna, and Socrates, after straddling a broken metal staircase 200+ feet above nothing, oh wait, I didn't mention climbing (and almost dying on) a man lift. It's a shame we didn't realize there was a concrete staircase and a ladder that led up to where we needed to go. Oh well, it was a great bonding experience, pulling each other onto safe ground, telling the other two where to put their feet. To be honest, I can't quite believe we're still alive. But we are.
